Now Add Honey (Wayne Hope, 2015)

Good Aussie comedies tend to be confined to television. Think Summer Heights High, Please Like Me, Kath & Kim, and all the political satire that turns up on the ABC. Husband and wife creative team Wayne Hope and Robyn Butler have now contributed three successful television series to the mix, with The Librarians, Upper Middle Bogan and Very Small Business all providing great entertainment value. Maybe she didn’t melt after all… for ELPHABA HAS RETURNED! Following on from its Australian premiere in Melbourne in 2008, Wicked has finally come full circle and is back at The Regent Theatre. From the moment I heard the Original Broadway Cast recording I loved this musical.

Melbourne Theatre 2013 in Review

I haven’t seen a musical in over 2 months (*gasp*!) and I’m waiting for Grease tickets to not be a total rip, so for now I will review the year that was 2013 in the theatre world. Again there’s a fair few to get through so apologies for the length. This list mostly consists of professional musicals along with a couple of Broadway-star concerts, a charity event, and a play.
